'Hitchin's country pub'
The Windmill pub lies less than a mile from Hitchin town centre, and is often seen as ‘Hitchin’s country pub’. With your help, we can save the pub and car park for the community. Supporters have set up a community benefit society called the Windmill Community Pub Ltd (WCPL). The WCPL aims to buy and restore the pub and car park, and recruit a tenant.
You can now register an interest in buying shares. Buying shares means you can be part of a community pub and help shape its future. We are not asking for any money at the moment. The pub and car park are now in private ownership, and a successful purchase cannot be guaranteed. However, a successful share offer will mean the WCPL has the financial backing to negotiate buying the pub and car park.
Anyone can buy shares, as long as you are aged 18 and over.
