The Windmill Pub was a vibrant community pub in the village of Charlton, Hertfordshire. It provided a warm welcome, refreshments and a community focus to the village of Charlton, and surrounding community, for 150 years. The pub was forced to close in 2015, and sold to a private owner. The pub and car park are now at risk of redevelopment, with a potential loss of a much loved community asset.
Saving the Windmill pub and car park is vital to everyone who visits Charlton. The Save the Windmill campaign group has formed a Community Benefit Society and aims to raise funds to buy the pub and car park for the community.
